Our Story

We’re the Jacksons

Hello! And welcome… My name is Breezy Jackson (Owner). And my super, amazing and supportive husband is Charles (Business Manager). Between us, we have 4 grown humans ages 22 to 30 and living on their own. In December 2021, we welcomed our first grandbaby and have our second on the way! Our furry “kids” and mascots have been our 15.5-year-old kitty named Bear (aka: “Pirate” Bear) who lost an eye to cataracts in 2019 (funny / not funny pun). I’m sad to share that we lost Bear to a dog attack the week before Thanksgiving 2022 - we’re still mourning his loss. Then there’s Rylee. Our 7-year-old tri-colored corgi who runs our life - but entertains us, loves us endlessly, and is always on guard - look out Amazon, UPS, FedEx. Both our boys are lovey, playful and the coolest, chill critters anyone could ask for.

So how did I get here? Over the years I’ve watched friends and family bring home new fur babies. Many didn’t have the starting items their new critter needs. Often, I hear them say: “Oh man… what kinds of things do I need to buy now?” And many have asked me what items they should go buy. So, I decided I needed to do something to help. It’s always been in the back of my mind and heart, but during Covid, the need is there more than ever. So, here I am!

Now, personally, I’m a planner who has had fur babies every single day of my life, so I haven’t had any problems when bringing a new critter home. In fact, I’ve totally worked it to my advantage (wink-wink).

Back in March of 2016, we attended an annual auction in Camas, WA. During the silent portion I put in a bid for a dog crate with a few supplies inside like a bed and some toys - very basic. Mind you, we had no dog. But I knew if I had the items, I would get one! After being on a waiting list for about a year and a half with a reputable & caring breeder - we brought Rylee home from Ellensburg, WA in January 2017. And… because of that crate I bought, I had a bed to bring him home in and some toys ready for him when he arrived at his new home.

So, Just Your Fur Baby is here to help all humans plan for new furry family members. Our best vehicles are providing starter kits to breeders by adding more value to their customer’s experience and now, working with realtors to offer specific pet kits for their clients with pets.
We just wanna help. :)

Meet Rylee

(aka: Handsome)

Rylee is our 7.5 year-old tri-colored corgi. He loves barking like a crazy dog as people walk by our fence (sorry peeps). Dislikes the summer heat (he only has 2 coats!). He has many routines we all must stick to including giving him his cookie in his “cookie ball” immediately upon finishing his food. During the day, he expects his pawTreat snacks & some snuggles - and he loves ‘em both! When he wants our attention he throws his cookie ball at us, scratches our leg, or ‘boofs’ - like a whisper bark. This pooch is full of character, and we totally lucked out when we picked him.

Rylee also mourned the loss of his brother Bear in Nov 2022.

Meet Bear

(aka: “Pirate” Bear)

R.I.P Bear, 5/13/07 - 11/17/22

Bear was our 15.5-year-old ragdoll-tabby mix. He was born ON our oldest kid’s birthday; then 6 weeks later, brought home to me ON MY birthday. He loved the summer heat and laying out with mama. Disliked the winter cold - not his thing. When he came in from the outside, he would head straight to the kitchen, sit, and wait patiently for one of us to give him treats, then right to his dish to eat. Next, he’d be on the hunt for a lap or right back outside. When he was really cozy he liked to ‘make biscuits’ (kneading) and doing what we call “kitty spit” (drooling). Making biscuits on my chest was his happy place… like the image you see here.

I’ll always love you Bear-Bear… and I’m so sorry this happened to you… You can’t & won’t be replaced.
